How We Can Help You
Each one of us needs encouragement from others to make it in daily
life. God designed us that way! That is why we have several groups at
Jesus Is Lord Church: groups located in Bloomington and the surrounding
area for men only, women only, and mixed groups for men and women. The
Small Groups form the relationships
that make the difference in your spiritual growth – and these are
the people who are “there” for you when the tough times hit.
Besides our small groups, there are a number of ways you can find immediate help through Jesus Is Lord Church. If you're hurting, depressed, frustrated, and confused, we’d love to show you God’s love by helping you in any way we can. God wants nothing more than to heal whatever has wounded your heart.
We have a free, appointment-based counseling service, where you can meet with well-trained para-professional counselors who can help you through some of life’s difficult days. Small Groups
Small groups provide a ministry for people to function in interdependent
relationships, assisting each other in growth toward Christlikeness.
You were made for God's family! To be all of what God designed you to be, you need to be connected with others in your church family. In a small group you can ask questions, participate in the discussion of the text, and hear others share insights and illustrations of the truth you are trying to learn about. This is the time where the Bible can be applied to your own personal situations.
Over fifty times in the New Testament the phrase “one another” is used to describe our relationships with other believers. We are instructed to love one another, encourage one another, pray for one another, bear one another’s burdens, and build up one another. We really need each other. God never meant for us to go it alone in the Christian life.

Church Counseling
A ministry developed to fulfill part of the Jesus Is Lord Church dream
of helping people.
Church Counselors are paraprofessionals (not licensed or paid professional therapists) trained in the skills of listening, clarifying, and goal-setting; all undertaken through prayerful submission to the leading of God. We offer a response to your personal, marital, or family needs based on the Christian understanding of giving ourselves to our neighbors. There are no fees involved in seeing a lay counselor.
Church Counseling appointments are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m.at Jesus Is Lord Church.
